This is Opie returning from the Main Woods (not to be confused with the Maine Woods). The woods spreads out over several square miles from the northern corner of the back yard. It is extremely dense and overgrown; the only path into it is the creek bed, which is just beyond the trees. It is not particularly inviting to humans, but Opie liked it.
