I attended a wedding shower yesterday. It was for the bride-to-be of a former co-worker's offspring.

It's been a while since I attended a wedding shower, and things are apparently handled differently with the current generation. This was a catered affair at a local restaurant. Showers I have attended had always been at someone's house with homemade vittles.

At least this was a girls-only event. I understand that co-ed showers are not uncommon now.

I sat at a table with other friends-of-the-parents, and we commented on how much younger everyone was getting compared to us.

But it was all fun, and the food was great. We will all be gathering together once more for the wedding in November.

I hope the wedding food's as good as the shower food :)
