Greetings!

It's Labor Day in the U.S. and we celebrate our work force by giving them the day off. Seems fair.

So we had a garage cleaning party. The Husband and my brother-in-law did all the dirty work, but my sister and her kids joined us, and I got bagels and cream cheese and bottled water for everyone (those handy squirt bottles that are so useful when doing sweaty work outdoors).

We also prepared a lunch of roast beef sandwiches and deli meats for the lunch break. And the guys had made a sizeable dent in the garage clutter by lunchtime, so we took the time to relax and chat.

The garage was half-cleaned out by late afternoon, so it was decided to save the rest for another time. Besides, the debris that was designated as trash was becoming a decidedly large pile in the driveway.

So after a few more hours of chit-chat, we declared the day a success and thanked them for their help and they thanked us for lunch. So even though only half the garage got cleaned out, it was a complete day of fun :)
