Every year around this time I participate in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk in Atlantic City. It's one round trip of the boardwalk (about 8 miles). I usually get about halfway and return, which isn't bad. For me, anyway. I get people to pledge amounts for each mile I walk. I raised over $1000 this year, as I have for the three previous years.

The weather was unusually hot for this time of year, but it's always a bit cooler at the shore. I was joined by several friends and we took our time and kept our cool - it wasn't a competition.

We lost our parking space near the start line this year (surprise - they're building a new casino there - can't let open space near the boardwalk go casinoless), so the walk was that much further just to get to the starting point.

Speaking of walking, the Husband isn't doing so well at that activity. He injured his leg and his regular doctor has scheduled him for an ultra sound and a visit to an orthopedic specialist. He says it looks worse than it really is.

I hope so. It looks gross.
