Holy cranberry sauce, tomorrow is Thanksgiving! How did this happen? Wasn't yesterday Halloween?

Not that Thanksgiving is panic time. My sister is preparing everything except dessert. All I have is a couple pumpkin pies to put together. But the next day - Friday - Black Friday - is my major shopping day. I join my sisters (including the one from Denver who is home for the week) for a major shopping spree. And I am not mentally prepared for it. This is important. I get most of my Christmas shopping done this weekend. If I don't it'll be chaos right up to the big day.

But Thursday will be a family get-together, a chance to relax. Maybe that'll be the preparation I need. Then I can get out there in the trenches and do my Christmas-shopping duty with gusto. And credit cards.
