We have a nephew in high school who, for whatever reason, decided to try out for his high school play. He had never done any kind of acting before, and he didn't choose to start off with any smakll parts. He tried out for the role of Potter in It's a Wonderful Life (the banker/villian). And he got the part.

They've been in rehearsal for a couple months and the play opens in a couple weeks.

A few weeks ago they wanted someone to take some pictures of the rehearsals, and my sister volunteered me and my camera, to which I readily agreed. It was fun, the pictures turned out well and everyone enjoyed them.

Last night was a dress rehearsal, and I was invited back for more picture-taking. This time they're thinking about possibly selling them, if they turned out well. There were some problems with lighting (the light crew was playing with the settings while I was trying to take pictures), but I got some pretty good shots in spite of them.

The nephew did pretty good too. Break a leg :)
