My 16-year-old nephew just completed the role of mean ol' Mr. Potter in It's A Wonderful Life, his high school play.

The Husband and I attended the Saturday performance, and I returned for the Sunday performance in my semi-official capacity as the performance's photographer. I took the cast and crew's (semi-) official photographs after the final performance. I also shot stills of the rehearsals, and photos of the Bailey family that hung on the walls in one scene were my contribution, and I got an official mention in the official program.

I hafta say that the Nephew was the best performer of the ensemble - there is a high school Tony Award in his future. But the whole cast was Wonderful (get it?)

I was amazed by the production itself - there were 17 scenes, each requiring scenery and prop changes. It was a major task for the behind-the-scenes stage crew (whom I also officially photographed).

And now it's back to the reality of being December.

I am not ready.
