As part of my stamping demonstrator avocation, I have regular "Stamp Camps." They're brief, educational workshops to introduce attendees to the various tricks and techniques for scrapbooking and card making.

I usually work around a theme (scrapbooks of pets, cards for a specific holiday). Everyone does Christmas cards, and they like to get a head start. So I decided to get way ahead and have a Christmas in August themed camp this month.

I made egg nog and Christmas cookies and had Christmas music playing throughout the evening. I even cranked up the air conditioning to put a little chill in the air. I stopped short of putting up a tree.

Several attendees brought their own cleverly-decorated Christmas snacks, and there was a spirit of Christmas in the air. Or maybe it was the egg nog. But a fun time definitely was had by all.

Ho, ho ho.
