It was on this day in 2000 that we brought c.c. home to charm both of us and our stoic orange cat, Opie.

Opie and c.c. were magical together. But they're both gone now, so we decided to archive every entry of the Opie Project so that anyone who chooses can relive their (and our) adventures. That's more than a thousand entries over seven years.

We've divided them up into Phase I (Opie's solo years) and Phase II (Opie's years with c.c.). Phase III are the Hunky and Dorie years (the current Phase). They can be accessed by clicking on the icons in the upper left corner of the Today page. Phase one includes a tribute to Opie, while Phase II includes the c.c. tribute posted last year.

In the early years there were photos included in some entries for which many of the links to them no longer work. We're trying to find the original photos to reactivate them. Also, the only access to the archives is from the Today page and the FAQ page - we're planning to add other access points on the notes pages. And presently the only way out of the archives is through judicious use of the back button - we plan to simplify that too.

Early entries were sporadic at times, while others went mistakenly unsaved. But we have had a good time pouring through them and reminiscing about our two frenetic felines. It brought recurring smiles to our faces.

We hope they do a similar job to yours.
