My Triumph TR-6 was recently hauled off to the restoration shop - that's old news. While awaiting the tow truck to come get it, I figured I could push the thing outa the garage by myself so it would be all ready to go. The garage is level; the driveway is slightly inclined. I placed a couple 4x4's in the driveway to keep it from rolling into the street.
As the rear wheels hit the driveway, gravity took over and I got behind it and planted my feet and pushed back to keep it from gaining momentum.
Dumb.
I felt my right calf muscle pop. Like a balloon. That was immediately followed by pain. Fortunately the 4x4's did their job or I woulda been run over.
I hopped into the house and packed ice around the injury, and after a few minutes the pain subsided. I was able to move my ankle, wiggle my toes, and gingerly manage to hobble around on the leg. I figured ice and caution for a week or so would mend my mistake.
But by Saturday the leg had turned varying shades ranging from black to blue, and it was swollen to a circumference that exceeded my pants leg. There was a general consensus among friends and family that a doctor visit would be in order.
I wonder if there's a specialist for stupidity.
