---Sunday---
The humane mousetraps have been packed up and put away until the next outbreak of mice (which, hopefully, will be never again). The pantry/utility room has been declared mouse-free.
The Wife is in Atlantic City today, "walking for a cure." It's one of those arrangements where sponsors are procured through donations, then all the sponsored persons join together and walk the length of the Atlantic City boardwalk (about four miles), calling attention to the need for a cure, in this instance a cure for Alzheimer's Disease.
She is joined by several folks from work, who collectively have raised thousands of dollars (the Wife alone has managed over $1100 in donations). They do this every year. Those bringing in the greatest amount in donations are invited to attend an appreciation lunch. She was invited last year, and will probably be invited again this year.
Both our mothers suffered from Alzheimer's, so she is into this with her heart, as well as her spirit. I donated a share in her honor as well. We both know what a terrible disease this is.
