Today is Hunky and Dorie's birthday. They're four years old now. And still kittens.

Hunky's trying not to be a kitten. He spends most of his day lying around, just like an adult feline. But he still enjoys attention and human interaction. If he could just enjoy it with claws retracted.

Dorie's making no effort at all to put kittenhood behind her. She still gets into things she shouldn't, climbs the bookcases, chases her tail and walks all over her human caregivers (literally and figuratively). But at least she does it with claws retracted.

They both still play together like kittens, chasing each other all over the house. But they no longer engage in prolonged wrestling matches like they used to. One or the other will still instigate the practice, but after a few brief turns, they go their separate ways to engage in more mature activities.

Like taking a nap. Happy Birthday, guys.
