There they were - this huge stack of Christmas cards, unaddressed, unsigned, and looking ominous. If we had any chance of getting them to their intended recipients, that had to get to the post office before noon today.

We finally sat down and did our duty on Sunday night. The Wife has an envelope-addressing program she created in MS Publisher using mail merge and Outlook. It prints Christmas clip art and individual names and addresses from her address book in reds and greens. It's rather ingenious.

While she printed the envelopes, I would write a universal sentiment and sign my name to each card and place it with a freshly printed envelope. As I finished that, the Wife would then personalize each with a message and sign her name. I would in turn seal each and add a Christmas-themed postage stamp.

Pretty soon we had a huge stack of Christmas cards, but this time they were signed, sealed and boxed for a trip to the post office in the morning.

Shopping is done, gifts are wrapped. We're just about ready for Christmas. I think. Heh.
