It's a new tax season. Whoopee. Our property taxes were due Friday, but we never received a tax bill. So I hafta go over there today, checkbook in hand, and find out what I owe.

The problem is that I want to pay off a credit card, whose outstanding balance added to the property tax bill just about equals my checking account balance. Hopefully I can do both, but without an exact figure, I don't know if I can or not.

Having an income would help considerably, but so far the accounts receivable of my home-based business have remained disturbingly quiet (I'm expecting a few payments this week, hopefully).

But I am still on budget, and all should be well once the checks start arriving.

And where have we heard that before?
