Opie joined us in the summer of 1995. He was a discarded pet that had been wandering the woods in search of his food dish when the Husband spotted him and brought him home to the Wife and the two other cats. Opie would hunt by instinct in the woods behind the house, but he never knew why; he was unsure of what to do with his captures, so he'd turn them loose in the house. But Opie had a polite
nature and could do no wrong. All cats are unique, but Opie was
