Hunky: . A new season starts today.

Dorie:  What's a season?

Hunky: .It's one of those calendar things that humans came up with - something about changes in the weather.

Dorie: . But the weather's always changing.

Hunky:  This is a big change. Summer is hot and humid, but summer ends today and autumn begins. Autumn is cooler and just gets colder until winter gets here, then it gets really cold.

Dorie:  So tomorrow is gonna be cold?

Hunky:  No it'll be hot, just like today; it'll get colder later.

Dorie:  So when will it get colder?

Hunky:  Oh, that depends on a lot of different factors. It may not get really cold for another month.

Dorie:  Then why does the new season start today?

Hunky:  It's one of those calendar things that humans came up with - something about changes in the weather.

Dorie:  I think this is where I came in.
