Hunky: ..Looks like our windowsill existence is being phased out.
Dorie: .It's gotten really hot out, so the Husband and Wife closed all the windows to keep the heat out.Hunky: We can still lounge around on the windowsills if we want, but it's not the same without the smells and breezes coming through the open windows.
Dorie: Not that we have had any breezes recently. Before they closed all the windows, the heat getting in really had our tongues dragging. Spreading ourselves out on the windowsills in the direct sun was not the joy it had been recently.
Hunky: .We discovered that it was lots cooler downstairs on the tile floor in front of the washing machine. The only window down there is small and curtained and closed. But it's definitely cooler. I wonder if the Husband and Wife know about this. They were spending all their time in the warmer upstairs. But we still had to come upstairs to eat, and that's when we noticed the closed windows and cooler temeratures.
Dorie: ..It's good to be back upstairs again with the Spouses, even if the windowsills have lost their appeal.
