Halllooooo ...It's springtime and I'm feeling it. And so is Hunky. We spend our rowdy hour (the hour following breakfast) chasing each other around the house. Upstairs and down, back to front - not just a coupla times, but for the entire hour. We have a good time. And the Husband and Wife enjoy our collective rambunctiousness as well - they cheer us on with the smiles we bring to their faces.
Springtime is affecting the spouses as well. They go around the house and pick up anything that's in the way in each of the rooms and put it all in a pile that's in the way in the living room. This gives us an additional obstacle to race around as we tear into the leaving room and circle the pile without ever slowing down.
That pile is known as Spring Cleaning, and it adds a bit more adventure to our race around the house. It became a midpoint of the chase - upstairs, once (or twice) around the pile, then down the stairs again. Or out the bedroom, down the hall, around the pile, back to the bedrooms.
But eventually the pile disappears. We have no idea where it goes to - it is never seen again. But we put to good use while the opportunity avails itself.
Not that its absence ever slows us down. Spring is a fleeting thing, and, like the Spring Cleaning pile, we make the most of it while it's here. There are still several days, maybe weeks, of the spring renewal remaining, and while the pile may be gone, our energy and determination is not. So clear a path, we're coming through.
Happy springtime, northern hemisphere!
