Right now we're in that weird transition period when Nature tries to make the changeover to warmer weather. But because the Earth is tilted on its axis, and it even wobbles a bit, the transitition if far from smooth.Instead we got stifling hot weather, followed by long periods of rain, followed by downright chilly temperatures.
But it's a harbinger of nicer days to come. And the more pleasant of the days that we've been experiencing have allowed us to take advantage of some truly unique innovations - windowsills! We never realized how nifty they were until the days of open windows, when we get to smell the fresh air and hear the noises of the outside world while we perch ourselves safely on one of these windowsill things and take it all in.
And there's no better place for a nap - we can curl up on a windowsill and sleep there all day with no problem. And we do!Before we would just find any ol' out-of-way area where we wouldn't be disturbed to get our sixteen hours of sleep. But with these windowsill places, naptime is a new adventure of sounds and smells - and they're cat-size too.
Open windows and a windowsill perfectly personifies a feline's very existence - a sixteen-hour naptime adventure - what can be more cat than that?
But today everything changed back to cold, and the windows are closed. It was nice while it lasted. But we know the days of open windows will soon be returning, and we're ready.
Then find yourself a windowsill and take a nap - see if you don't agree.
