Hunky: . When we first moved in, we had a pretty good arrangement - a house with two levels to run around in, the Husband and Wife to wait on us, and lots of things to play with.

Dorie: And the Husband and Wife went away for hours at a time during the day, leaving us to explore on our own.

Hunky: . Which turned out to be lots of fun! But after exploring on our own, we found that it was also a good time to catnap. We would get all rested up so we could tear around the house day and night, when the Husband and Wife were home to join us.

Dorie: A coupla days out of the week they would stick around all day, but most times we were on our own. But then the Husband started hanging around all the time. But not a good hanging around - he ignores his prime function of attending to us - he doesn't want to play, and he just sits at his computer all day in the spare bedroom.

Hunky: But we've learned to adjust. We now catnap on the spare bed while he works, but still alert enough to keep an eye on him.

Dorie: Somebody has to.
