Hunky: . A few weeks ago the Husband hung colored lights all over the shrubbery out front. The lights were different colors and made soothing patterns all over the lawn.

Dorie:  We used to lie on the big windowsill in the living room and watch them out there in the dark. It had a soothing effect.

Hunky:  But now they're gone. The Husband removed them. We don't know why. They added something to our view.

Dorie:  We noticed that some indoor adornments that had also appeared at about the same time are also starting to disappear.

Hunky: . That big tree they put in the living room had also appeared at about the same time, and it's still here ...

Dorie:  ... and it still has its colored lights. But we know that it will be gone soon too. It's happened before.

Hunky:  This all has something to do with that human contrivance called a Calendar. It tells them what to do and when to do it. They can't get along without it. And it tells them to take away the lights and the tree.

Dorie:  But we know next year all the lights and the tree will be back again. The Calendar says that too.
