Hunky: . Four years ago today, Dorie and I were very young and curious kittens. Our lives (brief as they were at that point) had been spent mostly in cages.

Dorie:.. But on that particular date we were both in a large cage at PetSmart, part of an adoption promotion. And as luck would have it, the Wife passed by and saw us.

Hunky: . We were very interested in any form of attention, and she and the Husband hung around for about an hour, talking to the shelter people who brought us.

Dorie: ..But we were surprised when the shelter lady removed us from the cage and placed us both in a cardboard cat carrier with only a few round holes to peek out of.

Hunky: . We ended up in a living room, not knowing why we were there, but we were introduced to a large adult cat that evoked fading memories of a parent cat. But that was Opie. He just kinda watched us curiously.

Dorie: ..We spent the day checking out our surroundings, and we liked the opportunity to have all that room to explore. We decided to stay. And we're glad we did.
