The Wife joined some friends with a timeshare in Aruba. She loved it. Here's some reasons why ...

The view from our balcony.

My room, from inside.

Colorful locals could be found throughout the resort.

Right across from the resort was the beach, with thatched-roof type umbrellas. We had to get there early for those.

Desert cactus grows all along the beaches ...

... as do other things.

Aruba is a rather diverse little island

.
This is the local Catholic church ...

... with a somewhat colorful cemetery.

Even the lighthouse is a tourist attraction..

The north shore has no beaches, just rocks and heavy surf.

They call this a Natural Bridge. The tides have chewed away underneath it over the years.

This is a party boat called Jolly Pirates. It took us out to the reefs to go snorkeling among the colorful fish (and a drab shipwreck).

... and lastly the Divi Divi Tree. It actually grows this way, like being blown out to sea. They're all over the island, and they're kind of the unofficial symbol of Aruba.
